EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – Heritage Thermal Services (HTS) is pleased to announce its most recent donation to the local Kent State University campus. President Christopher T. Pherson presented a $2,500 donation to help fund the school’s new Dynamic Learning and Virtual Reality Laboratory.
“We are pleased to support Kent State as it adds innovative educational technologies for its students,” President Pherson said. “The investment in virtual reality will enhance the faculty’s ability to introduce new learning opportunities for students.”
The VR Lab has already begun paying dividends for students in the physical therapy and nursing programs. The technology allows them to study the workings of the human body in new and dynamic ways.
Once implemented fully, Kent State Dean Dr. David Dees plans to make the lab available to faculty and students of local school districts. His vision is to position the campus as a technology center for the educational community.
HTS is proud to support Kent State’s educational technology initiatives. The company’s previous donations funded task-specific mobile workstations for the nursing and physical therapy programs.
